Employee Onboarding at Breakaway Adoption Solutions

  • Senior Instructional Designer, Learning and Development Consultant
    Training Manager and Project Architect
Associate Director, Learning and Client Engagement

  • I started assisting with new employee onboarding as a senior instructional designer, conducting for those starting in the instructional design role. Moving into my next position as a training manager and project architect, I began molding our onboarding strategy and implementing new iterations of our training programs for three roles: instructional designer, instructional writer, and multimedia developer. I worked with existing materials to start, evaluated their benefits and opportunities for improvement, and made small changes with each instance of training. I also worked with the team leads for each role to conduct and evaluate this training program, which provided additional, valuable insight into areas for ongoing improvement. In addition to content and methodology updates, I implemented an organizational structure and process for storing training materials on over 88 topics. This allows us to know what resources are available and enables us to reproduce the learning experience in a consistent, scalable manner. By the end of my tenure as Training Manager and Project Architect, my team and I completed onboarding for 32 team members. I continue to manage employee onboarding as an associate director with the added responsibility of training our client engagement managers.

Custom Project Implementation Tracking for Breakaway Adoption Solutions

  • Training Manager and Project Architect
Associate Director, Learning and Client Engagement

  • I developed our current Google Sheets templates for tracking projects within Learning and Client Engagement, which we use for over twenty clients thus far. These documents include summaries of key project data, databases listing deliverables created, metadata for loading content to learning management systems, and tabs to log and implement revisions from quality analysis and client review cycles. We track completion for each deliverable and weight this data to assist with proper contract revenue recognition. After initial client engagement, we use templates to track items and their updates over the lifetime of our work with a client.
